Elya Daniell was born and raised in Southwest Florida where the beautiful beaches naturally inspired her interest of art from an early age. Living near historic Downtown Fort Myers on the Caloosahatche River also contributed to her appreciation of the Fine Arts.
Elya and her family could be found either working at their family restaurant or enjoying the open water. Her family’s favorite getaway Cayo Costa, National State Park, enlivened Elya’s desire to sketch. The beautiful and primitive island held countless memories waiting to be sketched of her sisters fishing in the lagoon, dolphin sightings and winding trails to the shore. With pencil in hand she was ready to capture these moments.
Those simple sketches and genuine interest in art were what eventually led her to her deepest passion, oil painting. Elya is now obtaining her Master of Art Degree and has her Bachelor of Science in Communicative Art. While her main goal is to paint a message of hope from other countries, she also enjoys plein air painting and educating more people about fine art.
